Seshcut

Curate less. Ride more.

Film your session. Seshcut sorts it.

It finds every attempt and stacks them by outcome, right on your phone. Makes, bails, slams. No scrubbing through an hour of footage to find the one you landed.

More than a clip folder

It does the boring part of filming.

Every skater knows the deal: film for an hour, land one trick, then spend the night scrubbing back through the whole thing to find it. Seshcut watches the clips for you and pulls the session apart. Landed it, bailed it, ate it. Review takes minutes, not the rest of your evening.

The Library

Film like you always do. Open Seshcut and it starts reading the sesh, keeps going while you do something else, and hands you the stacks. That's the base, and it costs nothing.

The Seshcut

Landed one worth showing? Your reel is already cut, ready to post while the sesh is still fresh. That's a seshcut.

The Journey

Scroll back through your riding and watch it add up, sesh by sesh, spot by spot. Nothing filed by hand.

How it works

Three taps from camera roll to keepers.

Point it at your clips

Pick a session from your camera roll, or let Seshcut check new clips in the background. Everything is read on your phone. Nothing gets uploaded.

It reads the session

It watches every attempt and takes a first read. Your makes and slams stacked and ready, bails one glance from the trash. Hold a trick and it's stamped with your locked time.

Keep what you'd post

Skim the makes, fix a call with a tap, and only then a clip lands in your Library. Seshcut cuts your reel, ready to share, and your sessions and spots file themselves. About the only thing you name is your local spot.

Your clips, your phone

Read on your phone. Stays on your phone.

Every clip is read where it already sits, on your device, using the on-device vision tools built into iOS. Nothing is uploaded to be read somewhere else, because there is nowhere else. There is no account, and no server that ever sees your footage.

Read on the device

Your phone does the watching. Your clips and the movement data read from them never leave it. We literally can't see them.

On by your call

Background review is opt-in and off by default, and it backs off in Low Power Mode. Your footage stays put.

What we do get: counts

The app sends anonymous counts of which features get used, so we can see what works, what doesn't, and what to build next. Never your clips, your labels, your spots or your location, and nothing that ties any of it to you.

Why Seshcut exists

Built by a skater.

It comes from a skater who wishes more sessions with the crew had made it onto film. Seshcut is his way of giving back to the scene: stack clips without a second thought, and keep a Journey worth scrolling back through.

Plans

The sort is free. PRO is for output.

Getting your session sorted costs nothing. PRO is for what comes after: reels cut for you and ready to post, lines trimmed to just the tricks, bails cleared out and the storage back. And when you want the clips in Premiere, Final Cut or the free DaVinci Resolve, they land ready to edit. One plan, billed yearly.

FREE

Your clips, sorted. Your Journey, filed.

For every rider who films. No charge, no account, no card.

  • Auto-sort every session into Makes, Slams and Bails
  • Relabel and re-trim any clip with a tap
  • Locked time on the tricks you held
  • Your Journey: sessions, spots and tags on your own map
  • Reels of your single tricks, cut tight, with the Seshcut corner mark
  • Back up your calls, tags and spots to your own iCloud, if you want to
  • Every clip is read on your phone and never leaves it

PRO

Cut, reframe, and post it.

For riders who film every sesh and want reels ready to post and the storage back. Editors get their clips ready to edit.

  • Everything in FREE
  • Cut a whole line down to just the tricks
  • Fill the frame with the rider. No black bars on clips you filmed sideways
  • Run a HUD on your reels: the trick counter, your locked time on screen. And drop the Seshcut mark entirely
  • Reels pitched from your Journey: your hardest battle, your biggest sesh, every slam stacked
  • Clear the bails out of a clip or a whole session and win the storage back
  • Hand clips to your editor with attempt markers, ready for Premiere, Final Cut or the free DaVinci Resolve
  • Bring in footage straight from the Files app, not just the camera roll
  • And more on the way. PRO keeps growing

PRO will be $39.99 a year, billed yearly, and a first sub starts with 7 days free. There's nothing to buy yet: Seshcut is coming soon to the App Store.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is this one of those apps that sends my clips off to a server?

No. Every clip is read on your iPhone, by your iPhone, using the vision tools built into iOS to read the movement in the frame. The whole review runs offline; there is no server to upload to and no account. What does go out is small and yours to control: anonymous counts of which features get used, a coordinate to name a nearby spot if you use the spot lookup, and, only if you switch backup on, a copy of your labels, tags and spot names to your own iCloud. None of it carries a frame of your footage.

Why use this instead of just scrolling my camera roll?

Because scrolling an hour of footage to find three makes is the worst part of filming. Seshcut watches it back for you and stacks the session by outcome, so you spend your time riding and posting instead of scrubbing. It's less a folder and more the friend who already knows which one you landed.

Is there an Android version?

iPhone first. That's what's launching. Android is on the roadmap and we're building toward it. Follow along and you'll hear the moment it lands.

Does it work for BMX, scooter, or snowboarding?

Not for auto-sorting yet. Right now the read is tuned for skateboarding. You can still bring in other clips and organize them by hand, and more sports are on the roadmap.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone on iOS 18 or newer. The watching happens on-device, so it leans on recent hardware to stay fast. It steps aside in Low Power Mode, works on the clips you already have, and never copies your footage, so it costs you no extra storage.

If I delete a clip in Seshcut, is it really gone?

Seshcut only removes clips when you ask it to, and it works against your photo library, so a delete is a real delete. Keepers can be saved into their own album.

Can it sort clips I didn't shoot on this phone?

Yes. Bring in clips from the camera roll or import a folder of footage. As long as it's skateboarding, Seshcut reads it the same way.

What if it calls a make a bail?

Fix it in a tap. Every clip can be relabeled, and you can nudge where an attempt starts and ends. Your call always wins over the app's first read.

How good is it at reading tricks?

Good enough that review is a skim, not a chore. When it's unsure, it says so and drops the clip in Check These instead of guessing. You stay the final word on every label.

What does it cost?

Getting your sessions sorted costs nothing. PRO adds the output kit at $39.99 a year, and a first sub starts with 7 days free. There's nothing to buy yet: Seshcut hasn't launched on the App Store. Follow along and you'll be the first to know when it does.
